Altan Presbyterian Church
As you know, for the safety of our members, we continue to cancel all activities at Altan. The Session has met via conference call, and has begun to address the issue of when and how we will begin to worship/gather together. We have considered a drive-in/parking lot service, where everyone would stay in their cars for the service, as well as possibly meeting out in the Pavilion, where social distancing can be better observed. If the shelter-in-place order continues for much longer, especially if it lingers into June, we will most likely begin to gather together in some way which keeps us all safe.
But for now, given that the governor has initiated a three phase process of re-opening and gathering together, the session has decided, for the safety of our congregation, to continue to cancel all activities for the next couple of weeks. The session will meet again on May 21st, and we hope by then the virus will be past its peak, and we can make specific plans for gathering together again. We are hoping that we can be meeting together in some way sometime around the end of May/beginning of June. That may seem a long way off, but it will be here before we know it, and when it does arrive, we’ll also plan some type of “safe” celebration together as well.
Bob continues to record video messages several times a week that will be posted on this site, the Facebook page “Altan Presbyterian Church”, and YouTube. These messages will include prayer requests, so please keep Bob advised of your concerns and requests.
During this time of crisis we ask that you continue to pray for our church family, our community, and our nation.

Please be praying for the EPC Missionary couple our church is helping to support. They continue their mission to share God’s Word to people on the other side of the world.
